One of my best friends, my only since birth, has graduated from UT Tyler and is working at APEC in Tyler, TX!
Their mission: APEC exists to educate, improve lives, and protect futures through the field of human performance.
Zach has always been a superb athlete and ran track during his time at UT Tyler, breaking multiple records. Following his love for sports, he now works full-time art APEC training high school athletes, adult workout classes, and recovery classes. He asked me to drive up to take pictures of himself coaching his classes and to promote the business. I definitely took advantage of being there and ran on their high-class ...
California! The golden state. My, at the time, 5 month pregnant friend and I decided to take a trip over the summer to California. The plan was to fly to Los Angeles, rent a car, and drive up the sunny west coast. I look back now and I don't really know how we fit everything in in such a short amount of time of five days. We hit it all - Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Yosemite - and back down to Los Angeles.
*Side note: If you are under 25 and looking to rent a car, there is a hefty surcharge fyi. We learned that firsthand, but hey we needed a car!
It was funny starting in Southern Califo ...
It has been awhile since I posted on here! A lot has happened in the past year. Moving to Dallas, starting a teaching career. A whole lotta transition and tears and smiles. Luckily, I was able to meet up with Alex in Houston to take pictures and catch up after not seeing each other for a year and a half! We are also both Texans now! Adulting.
Over the past few months I've learned community and maintaining a personal life doing things you enjoy and are passionate about is so important.
So, here is to the rest of our twenties and our lives!
"The time in your twenties is a chance to really pursue your dreams. You have no obligat ...
I can confidently say that after this shoot Kennedie is THE model to work with and rooftop pools are just super fun and glamorous. After planning this shoot a month or so in advance, we were ready to go when we met up at The Commerce Building in Downtown Baton Rouge. The Commerce Building is a building of apartments, a rooftop pool, and connected to the infamous Magpie Cafe. I would say it is a pretty ideal living space and right in the heart of Baton Rouge. Even their lobby is unique with the marbled walls, gold industrial piping, and hanging bulbs. Allison Boll came along for styling and the three of us had so much fun working together to m ...
Would I ask for better friends? Absolutely not. From being freshmen in high school to seniors in college, I have loved walking through life with these amazing friends and seeing them grow spiritually and emotionally! From watching them travel to spread God's message with Syrian Refugees in Germany, traveling to India, and even locally. If I were you, I would totally become friends with these world changers and listen to their stories and become inspired. As we part ways in May, graduating from college, I am pumped to see how they bloom even more. So excited! Love these people.
Allison Boll, killin' the game once again. We told each other, "oh we will probably spend two hours max taking pictures" but we ended up staying four hours because we were too excited about the location!
There were so many opportunities here and when I showed Allison location pictures we were exactly on the same page about aesthetic decisions.
Check these pictures out! Talk about elaborate and chic.

Jeffrey Roedel is one of Baton Rouge's very own natives. He is a jack of all trades! Not only does he own his own brand, Wonder South, consisting of apparel, photos, and stories... he also partakes in creative consulting, is an editor, producer, and photographer! You should really check out his work and collaborate with him. Plus, he knows all the cool venues around Baton Rouge! Who better to show you around than a native?

Allison and I started chatting on Instagram realizing we both had a mutual love for the whimsical store Anthropologie and similar aesthetics! We spent the day shooting poolside (hello, relaxation) in several different outfits all from her closet. Allison's bag consisted of foliage-printed scarves, dresses perfect for the heat, statement jewelry, a polka-dot swimsuit... some from Free People! We talked about how she interned this past summer in NYC for fashion and how amazing it is to embrace your passions and expand your horizon. Keep a look out for this girl in Vogue and Porter one day.
I hope you feel inspired.
And to go on a "tre ...
